Collection: Tlaloc — Lord of Rain and Water
He wore goggles made of serpents. He carried a lightning bolt. He controlled the rain that made crops grow and the floods that drowned entire cities. Tlaloc was one of the oldest gods in Mesoamerica — worshipped for over three thousand years, surviving the rise and fall of every civilization from the Olmec to the Aztec. Children sacrificed to Tlaloc were believed to become his cloud companions. The more they cried, the more rain would fall. He was terrifying and necessary in equal measure.
These signs carry the goggled mask, the lightning axe, the rain drops, and the jade that symbolized water and life.
