Collection: Royal Kingship — The Yoruba Crown

The Yoruba beaded crown is the most sacred object in Yoruba royal tradition. Its veil of beads hides the king's face because the Oba is no longer simply human — he is the living representative of Oduduwa on earth, carrying the divine authority of the first ancestor. No one may look directly at the Oba's face during certain ceremonies. The crown itself is alive. It has a name. It has a voice.

These signs carry the ade (crown), the beaded veil, the royal staff, and the symbols of sacred Yoruba kingship.
