Orisha — The Divine Forces

The Orisha are not gods in the Western sense. They are forces — aspects of the divine that manifest through nature, through human personality, through the challenges and gifts of life itself. Sango controls thunder and justice. Oya commands wind and transformation. Osun governs rivers and love. Ogun rules iron and labor. Together the Orisha form a complete map of human experience, and their worship spread with the diaspora to Cuba, Brazil, Haiti, and America — where they still receive offerings today.
