Bushido — The Way of the Warrior

Righteousness. Courage. Benevolence. Respect. Honesty. Honor. Loyalty. The seven virtues of Bushido were not a code written down by one person. They emerged over centuries of samurai culture as a living answer to the question: what does it mean to live well when your profession is death? Bushido transformed the warrior into a philosopher, the soldier into a poet, and the sword into a spiritual tool. It produced men who could write a perfect haiku moments before a battle.

These signs carry the seven virtues, the mon (crest), the katana, and the calligraphic brushstroke that is inseparable from the sword stroke.
